At first, she was the only one signed up, but Julia was committed to trying to make the class work. She soon had recruited another participant and finally 4 little tappers. It was well organized and a wonderful experience for her especially being that she was only 2 and a half. I was grateful for the opportunity to be backstage during her performance because as soon as we walked off there was another group of little girls(older than Lyna) waiting to go on next. We walked out and Lyna said “I did it!” And all the little girls started clapping and cheering for her. It was a wonderful boost of confidence for her and a growing moment. I wasn’t sure how she would do in classes and on stage being that she was so young but the welcoming atmosphere and support from everyone involved made it perfect for her.
